Matt Saich


Matt is a positive thinker and a proven communicator with the confidence to utilise networks and inter-personal skills to forge longstanding and rewarding relationships. He has a record for delivering under pressure and a determination to address each situation and individual on their merits.

Uniquely a CIPFA accountant with a Masters degree in Sport Psychology, Matt makes use of his own learning to blend quantitative and qualitative understanding and analysis to enrich our offering.

For 17 years Matt delivered professional services to the public sector whilst working for PwC. A financial management and performance improvement specialist, Matt planned; budgeted; reorganised; trained; surveyed; project managed and generally advised his clients. He subsequently became the Director of Resources for Stepping Out, establishing and growing social enterprises to deliver traditional public sector services. More recently as a member of GVA Financial Consulting, Matt has supported numerous local authorities and LEPs make better use of their assets and powers in delivering or planning to deliver better future outcomes.

Working in the private sector but almost exclusively for the public sector has provided an enviable insight into the synergies between the two and how best the two sectors can work together.
